Why is NASA going to the Moon

Image
What does NASA want to accomplish on the moon when human return there in the next few years  Dr Thomas Zurbuchen says in a NASA program: we want to creat the capability of not only to go to the moon but also to MARS! Those technologies together with the commercial and international partners that we work with will bring us there in a way that we can turn around and move towards Mars, we've never done that before and we want to increase the sphere in which we can explore with Humans, what an amazing thing! There is a second part and that is we want to do science and exploration of the surface of the Moon there are interesting questions that we want to answer there about the history of the earth and its bombardment, about the age of the solar system and its early history And many of the questions about the Moon, about our neighbour there in space and those questions we are going to answer with the experiments that we are developing right now.
